Two standalone electrical buildings with explicit blockwork, concrete roofs and MV/LV equipment represent a well-defined specialist electrical package.
Source description
MV electrical upgrade to serve the existing facility. Construction of two separate electrical building structures: 1) Low Voltage Switch room consisting of the Clients Transfor1ner room and a new LV Switch room measuring 8.095m x 4.380m x 3.120m high single storey, located to the east of and adjoining the existing facility. 2) ESB Electrical substation consisting of the ESB Substation and the Clients Medium Voltage Switch room measuring 8.095m x 4.380m x 3.120m high single storey, located to the east of the existing facility. Both structures will be standalone and constructed with 415mm cavity blockwork. The external finish will be rendered or otherwise suitably finished masonry in a neutral colour. The roofs will be constructed in reinforced concrete. The ESB Electrical substation will accommodate their MV switchgear and equipment necessary to upgrade and reinforce the existing electricity supply to facilitate the operation of a proposed extension and the second room will house the Clients MV switchgear and MV meter. The LV room will house associated low voltage distribution equipment, and the transformer room will house the Clients MV/LV 630 KVA transformer. The development is ancillary to and required to support the proposed extension to the existing facility. All associated works, including cabling and connections, will be contained within the site boundary.
Opportunity fit
Both structures are explicitly constructed with 415mm cavity blockwork with rendered masonry finish and reinforced concrete roofs.
Two electrical buildings housing LV switch room, transformer room, ESB substation and MV switchgear are explicitly the core scope.
Cabling and connections to upgrade and reinforce the electricity supply are explicitly described.
Reinforced concrete roofs are explicitly specified for both structures.
